Our 2011 Delivery Charges
Our Express Delivery Charge is £29.95 plus VAT PER ORDER for delivery to non-remote mainland adresses in England & Wales. Please call for a quote for delivery charges to Scotland, Ireland or remote areas.
An additional SMALL ORDER CHARGE of £10 plus VAT is charged on orders of £100 or less excluding VAT & delivery. The small order charge is to help cover a shortfall between what we charge for delivery and our actual delivery costs as we are unable to subside this sufficiently from margin on small orders.
Our Express Delivery Service
Prepaid orders for office furniture in beech finish or office chairs received BEFORE 11am on a working weekday will usually be dispatched on the same day for delivery on the NEXT WORKING DAY providing goods are in stock at time of ordering and the delivery address is a non-remote area in England or Wales. Next day delivery is not guaranteed however unless confirmed by sales and delivery can take two working days from dispatch. Orders including oak, maple or walnut office furniture products are usually dispatched a day later and therefore take a day longer to deliver. Sales will be happy to check stock availability and advise on likely delivery date for specific goods prior to an order being placed.
Prepaid orders received AFTER 11am on a working weekday will generally take a day longer than orders placed before 11am.
Our carrier will attempt to contact customers on the contact number provided to confirm that someone will be available to receive the goods. Delivery could be delayed if the carrier is unable to make telephone contact with the customer for any reason.
In the event that our carrier attempts to deliver on a date pre-agreed with the customer or customers representative and the customer is unable/unwilling to receive the goods for any reason then the customer will be liable to pay the carriers redelivery charges which are currently £30+VAT per pallet footprint.
We will phone the contact number provided to advise if any goods are ordered are out of stock.
No orders are dispatched between Christmas and New Year, on weekends or on Public Holidays.
Express Delivery Arrangements
In order to facilitate our EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICE our Office Furniture Pronto furniture range is DELIVERED PALLETISED using 3rd party pallet carriers.
Pallets are usually delivered to the curbside adjacent to the delivery vehicle only. On request the pallets can be moved by the driver to the external building entrance, provided that the distance from the parked delivery vehicle is fairly short and easily accessible for manual pallet delivery pump truck. Goods will not be delivered into a building. If the customer is able to unload the pallet fairly quickly the driver will on request wait and remove the empty pallet from site. The driver will not unload the pallet.
Optional Full Installation Service
On request at time of ordering we can arrange for an installation firm to deliver and install to most parts of mainland Great Britain for furniture from our Office Furniture Pronto range however please note that lead time will be up to 2 weeks for stocked products and that the installation charge will be a minimum of £150+VAT or 30% of the order value, whichever is greater. We anticipate that most customers will opt for palletised delivery only. We cannot retrospectively organise installation after goods have been dispatched via our Express Delivery Service. |
